Whey protein is hydrophilic (highly soluble) and hydrophobic (repellent) in nature; hence, when mixed with water, it has a natural capacity to form. Other protein powder brands use anti-foaming chemical agents to reduce foaming.

Plant protein powders are easily soluble in water, and hence they do not froth. A checkpoint for spoilage: if your vegan protein shake froths with a pungent fermented taste, then it may be unfit to consume.

Coffee Banana Smoothie with Chia Seeds (Servings: 1)

  • Soulfuel whey coffee protein powder (1 scoop)
  • Banana
  • Almond butter
  • Date
  • Chia seeds (1 tbsp)
  • Skimmed milk/water
  • Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately, garnished with extra chia seeds.

  • Berries
  • Almond milk/curd
  • Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

  • Kale leaves
  • Spinach
  • Arugula

  • Yogurt
